OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TEAM

Sara Jensen, MS, OTR/L

Sara is a co-founder of Downtown Kids Therapy. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has worked in various settings including inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and an outpatient clinic for the past four years, but has found her passion working with children in a sensory gym environment. She has been trained in Therapeutic Listening, the ALERT Program, Handwriting Without Tears, and Self-Regulation in Children. Sara was awarded “Best in Patient Care” in 2018 by the American Health Council.

 
 

Elizabeth FineSmith, MS, OTR/L

Elizabeth received her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Neuroscience and Dance at Connecticut College and her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University.
Elizabeth has provided treatment in special needs schools, outpatient facilities and pediatric therapy gyms, where she conducted evaluations and provided individual, consultative, and group treatment sessions. She has worked with children ranging from 2-21 years of age with a variety of diagnoses including autistic spectrum disorders, ADHD, sensory progressing disorder, learning disabilities, and general developmental delays. She has also provided consultation services including teacher/parent education, sensory diets, and home exercise programs.

Elizabeth has completed continuing education courses in the areas of sensory processing/modulation disorders, visual processing difficulties, as well as the Handwriting Without Tears®, Therapeutic Listening® and Astronaut Training programs. 

Lauren Lorenzo, MS, OTR/L

Lauren received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Quinnipiac University. She administered treatment in both private and public schools, where she provided individual, and group treatment. Lauren has worked with children ranging from ages 4-12 with a variety of diagnoses including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, and general developmental delays. She collaborates with teachers and families to provide individualized sensory diets and home exercises programs.

Lauren completed continuing education courses with a focus on creating effective sensory diets for children with sensory processing disorders.

 
 

ALANA MURPHY, MS, OTR/L

Alana received her Masters of Science degree in occupational therapy from Ithaca College. She has worked as a pediatric OT for over 9 years in inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, NICU and early intervention settings. She has advanced clinical skills in medically complex, premature infants and as well as holistic neurodevelopmental care. She is passionate about teaching and empowering all caregivers to help a child meet their fullest potential. She spent 1 year in South America performing educational program development to support the participation of children with special needs. Alana is certified in infant massage and enjoys using this modality to support caregiver-baby dyad to facilitate optimal bonding. 

payal (priti) domadia, MS, OTR/L

Priti is a pediatric occupational therapist practicing at Downtown Kids Therapy. She received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2014, and has been practicing in pediatric clinics and schools. She has worked with children with autism, developmental disabilities, down syndrome and sensory processing disorders. She is trained in Therapeutic Listening and Handwriting without tears and tailors her treatment plan by using a sensory based approach. Priti is passionate about creating a fun and successful environment where her children can grow and become as independent as possible. In her free time she enjoys traveling, finding healthy recipes to cook, and exercising.

 
 

Eliza Berman, OTD, OTR/L

Eliza received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. For her doctoral research, she created and implemented a training program to increase parental confidence when helping their children reach therapeutic goals. Eliza’s clinical experience includes hospitals, special education schools, and pediatric clinics. She has worked with children ages 3-21 with a variety of diagnoses including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, down syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, sensory processing disorders, and developmental delays. She has experience with the DIR/Floortime Method, creating sensory diets and home programming.
